Q: There is an email in my Inbox that cannot be deleted. What should I do?

A:
If there is an email in your Inbox that you are unable to delete, simply click the 'View' menu, clear the 'Preview Pane' selection (to close the Preview Pane) and delete the problematic email.

If you are still unable to delete the email, please follow these simple steps:
  1. In the IncrediMail main window, right-click in the 'Folders' pane and select 'New Folder'. Move all email messages you wish to save to the newly created folder.the new folder.

  2. Right-click the IncrediMail Tray icon, located at the bottom right side of your screen and select 'Exit'.

  3. Windows 2000 or XP users: Browse to the following location:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile Name (Logon Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\

    Note: If you cannot view the 'Local Settings' folder, click here.

    Windows 98 or ME users: Browse to the following location:

    C:\Windows\Application Data\IM\Identities\{Long Number}\Message Store

  4. Delete the 'Inbox.imm' and 'Inbox.imh' files.

  5. Open IncrediMail. The problematic email is deleted from your Inbox and you can move any email messages you saved back to your Inbox.
